Betty White: First Lady of Television
Producer/Director: Steve Boettcher
Writer: Mike Trinklein
Editor: Stephanie Theisen
Cast: Betty White, Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Carl Reiner, Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Bertinelli, Pamela Adlor, Valerie Harper, Gavin MacLeod, Georgia Engel
Synopsis: This year Betty White celebrates 80 years in show business, officially the longest career in the history of TV. She was the first woman to produce a national TV show; the first producer to hire a female director; the first woman to star in a sitcom; and the first woman to receive an Emmy nomination. In fact, she is the first woman to ever appear on television, given her performance on an experimental broadcast in 1939. She’s beloved for her roles as the bawdy Sue Ann on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, her opposite turn as the innocent Rose on Golden Girls, and her more recent role as and the worldly Elka on Hot in Cleveland. And who can forget the social media juggernaut that led to her hosting Saturday Night Live—the highest rated SNL episodes ever. But Betty is more than an entertainer, she’s a groundbreaker and a pop culture icon.
Our production team was granted exclusive access to Betty and her team over a period of 10 years—capturing a personal side of her life. The film follows her backstage at work, entertaining at home, and interacting with her close friends… one of whom is a 900 pound grizzly bear. And of course, the film is packed with great clips from her long career—and comments from her friends and co-stars, including Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Carl Reiner, Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Bertinelli, Pamela Adlon, Valerie Harper, Gavin MacLeod and Georgia Engel.
Altogether, it’s a portrait of one of the most beloved women in America, truly the “First Lady of Television.”

From the Furnace
Director: Isaac Stitt
Producer: Kurt Krauss
Writer: Isaac Stitt; Chad Writer
Editor: Caleb Jablonicky
Synopsis: Lance James is seemingly the last good cop in town. Three villains, each with their own agendas, arise and threaten to tear the city apart.
One seeks to step out from under his father’s shadow and gain complete control through coercion. Another seeks power by liberating his fellow citizens entirely from all strands of law and order. The third strives to keep his reputation intact by whatever means necessary, no matter how ruthless.
From the Furnace seeks to bring a message of hope. Its themes of trial echo that of all the human race, a meaning we cannot understand, as well as the role of fathers in the lives of their children.
This fast-paced and emotionally charged film will keep audiences on the edge of their seats right until its explosive finish.

MISSION
The Wildwood Film Festival's purpose is to promote Wisconsin film talent (actors, directors, writers, composers, editors, etc.). We also strive to educate high school students and adults in film basics-script writing, story boarding, filming, lighting, sound, editing and marketing.
HISTORY
From its humble beginnings, the Wildwood Film Festival has been consistently dedicated to Wisconsin film talent. With its eighth event it has showcased over 165 films that all have connections to our fine state.
The very first Wildwood Film Festival was held at the Historic West Theatre in Green Bay in 2001. The three-day event showcased ten films (including "The Hunt", a full-length dark comedy created by the festival's founders). The weekend was a great success and sparked a second event that played for a sold-out crowd at the Crescent Theatre in downtown Shawano.
Aspirations grew from there, and the festival found its roots in Appleton. Events have been held at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and the Big Picture Theatre. The Wildwood Film Festival continues to grow each year and the commitment to Wisconsin filmmakers and film talent is just as strong.
