This unique community event inspired by the feature film "Halfway" (starring Quinton Aaron - "The Blindside"), screening at 8 p.m. that evening, will give attendees the opportunity to explore race and recidivism from multiple points of view. There will be a variety of panelists, interviews and discussions during the two hour session.

Josh hosts "Fresh Take" weekdays 8:30-11AM on WHBY. This locally-focused news talk show curates an inclusive conversation focused on creative solutions to community challenges. Josh also chairs Creative Downtown Appleton, the creative place making division of Appleton Downtown Inc.

- Rayon Brown, head of Multicultural Center at FVTC, and Paris Brown, admissions counselor at Lawrence (no relation to each other) on education as help/hurdle to avoiding jail
- Bill Van Lopik, Member of the ESTHER Prison Reform Task Force, to speak to faith-based approaches to avoid jail
- An exhibit about local Black history from the 1700s to the present. Exhibit on loan from History Museum at the Castle.

- Carolyn Kuether, (CFO/VP/Treasurer/Managing Director of The Production Farm) Worked for four time Tony Award Winning Producers, Martian Entertainment. She is a native of Wisconsin growing up as the granddaughter of John and Jan Gillespie, founders of Rawhide Boys Ranch. She has performed with numerous improv groups around the country and taught with several educational improv groups. She has New York experience with Company Management, General Management and accounting for theatre and Directing, Editing and Production Management for film. Carolyn has taught performance for over 15 years all over. Carolyn and her husbanc run The Production Farm, an organization that teaches independent film making to youth primarily in foster care as well as housing foster youth and community engagement. www.theproductionfarm.org
- Craig Knitt, Story teller, and one of the founders of the Wildwood Film Festival. He is also an Art educator and filmmaker with more than 20 years of experience. Throughout that time he has taught every aspect of filmmaking to countless students. Currently he is teaching graphic design and visual arts (including filmmaking when it applies) for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay. He is one of twelve artists with the Youth Arts Initiative made possible through a grant from the Wallace Foundation. His films have earned many recognitions. "Drip" was selected as the Best Wisconsin Short film at the Milwaukee Short Film Festival.
